My corona experience

May 10th,

Well today is my last journal entry. It’s crazy how fast this year went by. Honestly kind of sad. I am really going to miss everyone at SBU and all my classes. This time in quarantine has shown me how much we have that we take for granted. During this class I honestly really enjoyed writing these paragraphs about what was going on in my life. I loved how we were able to make this blog post our own. You gave us the freedom to write what we wanted. I feel that having freedom is something that is so key to making anyone’s writing much better. These little corona entry’s have made me realize how much I have to appreciate in life. Down to the little things like the beauty in flowers. I went outside a lot for these entries and I plan to continue my hiking. I also plan to continue my sketching. When corona had first put us in a two week quarantine everyone was so happy that we got a break. The whole school cheered in in unison as we walked out. But, as the time dwindled on we realized that it was going to be more than two weeks. It ended up canceling our whole year. Most of the students who I have talked to wish they could go back. Being away from something shows you how much it actually meant to you. We don’t realize at the time when we are living in the moments, but once it is gone we realize how good it really was. I look forward to the next school year but it won’t be the same. I am definitely going to miss seeing everyone at SBU who is graduating. We honestly had a great group. This English class was definitely one of my favorite classes that I have taken up to my junior year. It will be missed, but not forgotten. We had fun. Thank you for all of the wonderful memories.
