Wednesday 3/18 Daily Announcement

I hope you all are well!

The assignment was to look at the draft you have, hopefully, been constructing after your adventure and come up with 2-3 descriptive sentences to share in today’s comment section, and to write what visual literary methods (cited from the Tyner article) you think you are utilizing and why.

I am excited to see what you all have come up with!

You must have the full assignment posted by the end of the day to receive credit.

Your blog assignment is due at 11:59 on 3/20 to the site with a picture!

  1. Some visual literary methods I have been using in my post about my adventure are historical context, as I explain the history behind the construction of place I visited. This allows readers to fully understand the place. I also believe that I have been using punctum as I go into detail about certain points of my adventure, and skim the less important ones that are not necessary to the understanding of my article. Overall, I believe that my article is going well and I am putting my own personal story telling style on it.

  4. Imagery and Mood
Delving into the fantasy of a level 34 wizard, I thoroughly express the surroundings of my character. I use vast amounts of imagery as a visual literacy technique to immerse readers in the setting of my new destination. I also create a light and adventurous mood in my writing, as someone would in expect in a video game about wizards. Including my style of vocabulary and sentence structure, I make my stories my own by going over many details and providing a step-by-step of my experiences.

I want the reader to understand the background of the area to better understand why landmarks are the way they are, along with what they actually look like. This gives the reader a better understanding of what the area looks like, and also allows them to form their own emotional context towards said area and paper.
